The hunt is on for the most inspirational youths in Derby. Derby City Council is running the Youth Reward Scheme 2011 and has opened the nomination process.
Anyone - individuals or groups - aged eight to 19, can be nominated and nominations can come in from individuals, voluntary and private groups.
Spondon Councillor Evonne Williams who is also the Cabinet member for children and young people at Derby City Council said: "Young people who help their communities or overcome personal hurdles deserve to be acknowledged and I would urge everyone to nominate a role model or team for this fantastic award programme."

Individual winners will receive gift vouchers and groups will win funds for their project.
The Youth Reward Scheme is run by Derby's challenge and support programme, led by Derby's Community Safety Partnership and Derby City Council. The project has three strands – supporting young people into positive activities, dealing with youngsters involved in crime and anti-social behaviour and preventing them from getting into trouble.
