The latest two books in the Spondon Archive series are now available in shops around the village.
“From Canoes to Commuters” looks at transport around Spondon through the ages, while “Exploring Spondon” features 7 local walks with some historical notes. The first 2 books (“History of the Malt Shovel” and “Clubs and Societies”) are also still available. Each are priced just £2.50 from various businesses in the village.
The books will also be on sale at the “Spondon merchandise stall” outside the front of the Village Hall during Spondon Day on Saturday 22nd June as well as Historical Society publications, Spondon mugs, flags and the last few Spondon bags!
