Nominations open for this year's Spondon Young Team of the Year Award

Nominations are now open for this year's Spondon Young Team of the Year awards.

The awards, sponsored by Spondon Neighbourhood Board and first launched in April 2011, aim to recognise, reward, promote and celebrate the achievements and successes of young people from Spondon working as part of a team. Clubs and organisations with a base in Spondon that organise teams for young people from Spondon can nominate their team.

The team nominated will have taken part in some type of team activity over a period of time, but the team does not have to be part of a competitive league or competition. Achievements need to have taken place between April 2012 and April 2013. Anyone can nominate a team. Winning teams will receive a cash award and a certificate.

Teams that are nominated will have achieved at least one of the following:
- provided the young people with a positive activity or
- involved the young people in a new experience or
- given the young people a sense of achievement or
- made an outstanding contribution to their club or
- achieved outstanding success or
- inspired the young people for the future adding to their learning and development.
