Residents of a care home in Spondon have praised the care, attention and service they receive, a survey has found.
The care home, situated on the site of the former Angler's Arms pub on Nottingham Road, provides 60 places for residential and residential dementia care and is part of MHA, the national charity providing accommodation, care and accommodation to 15,000 older people.
According to the survey, 91% of MHA residents and their relatives overall would recommend their home to others in 2011, up from 89% in 2010. Staff members at MHA were variously described as “friendly and polite”, “kind and caring”, “lovely” and “always very helpful”.
Home Manager, Sue Garvey, said, “We have always worked hard at Willowcroft to provide each resident with the person-centred care which is at the heart of MHA’s ethos. We recognise each person as an individual and we are dedicated to nurturing older people in body, mind and spirit. It is very important to stay engaged with residents’ loved ones as well.
“We are very pleased that this is borne out by the results of the Resident Satisfaction Survey and look forward to continuing to provide high quality care for everyone who lives here.”
