Earlier this year, children at Borrowood School were asked to designed a Christmas Light decoration for Spondon's village centre.
The Board, Traders Association and school PFA then arranged and funded the construction of the winning entry.
Spondon’s Millie Flewitt was delighted to win the competition and is pictured right with her teacher at the unveiling of her design on the night.
